I will be part of the jury of the 2011 Crow­bar Awards for the inter­ac­tive cat­e­gory. The awards jury will be chaired by Pann Lim, and Jonathan Yuen who invited me. They are both from from Kinetic.

The Crow­bar Awards are run by the Asso­ci­a­tion of Accred­ited Adver­st­ing Agents Sin­ga­pore and are open to full time ter­tiary stu­dents world­wide. There are six cat­e­gories open for entries, adver­tis­ing, design, pho­tog­ra­phy, inter­ac­tive, film, and the Crow­bar Challenge.

I always had some­thing to say about student’s work and this will be a good oppor­tu­nity for me to get a sense of the inter­ac­tive design edu­ca­tion stan­dards in SIn­ga­pore. I hope I will see some sub­stance this year and less of the fluff-making in past years’ entries. I will post a com­men­tary after the win­ners have been announced.
